Trans-vaginal Gynaecology Ultrasound ( TVS )

In transvaginal (internal) ultrasound scan, the scan probe is placed inside the vagina and is closer to the organs being examined.

This type of scan help provide clearer pictures of the uterus, ovaries and surrounding structures in lower abdomen than Abdominal USG.

How do I prepare for the test?

You do not need a full bladder for this scan so you will need to empty your bladder completely prior to the scan.
